NEW & IMPROVED HALF MARATHON COURSE!

We’re excited to unveil our refreshed 21.1km Half Marathon course for Run Port Douglas!

The new course now starts under the palm trees in front of the Mirage Country Club on Port Douglas Road, giving runners a stunning tropical send-off. While it’s a different start location to the Pacific Toyota 10km and 5km races, the big bonus? One continuous course with no loops!

Runners will head toward the heart of Port Douglas, weaving through iconic streets including Macrossan Street and Wharf Street, before passing the Port Douglas Sports Complex and the spectacular Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina.

Then comes the challenge… Flagstaff Hill!
Take on the climb to the famous lookout over Four Mile Beach — a 750m stretch that rewards you with one of the most breathtaking views in Australia.

From there, it’s back through town and out along the Esplanade, before joining Port Douglas Road with a dedicated runner lane for a safe and smooth experience. You’ll pass the stunning Sheraton Resort and wind through Barrier, Reef, and Nautilus Streets before heading back toward the coastline.

And then… the grand finale!
A final 3.6km stretch along Four Mile Beach, with firm, fast sand leading to one of the most unique finish lines in the world.

Cross the line on the beach, grab your medal, and celebrate your achievement!

PLUS: Take on the King & Queen of the Mountain challenge on Flagstaff Hill for your shot at some fantastic prizes.

Aid stations will be available along the course stocked with WINNERS electrolyte, water, and gels to keep you fuelled every step of the way.

This is more than a run — it’s an experience.
