We want to see as many locals as possible out riding and enjoying Great Barrier Reef Drive without traffic. This event will be the only opportunity the local community will have each year to jump on their bikes and ride on this spectacular road completely free of traffic, without having to compete in a race. So to encourage everyone to dust off their bikes, borrow a bike or hire a bike from the local shop we are offering locals a $20 discount off our regular prices for our 48km Medio Fondo, 60km Semi Fondo, 100km and 136km Gran Fondo distances. eBikes are now welcome in the 100km Gran Fondo, 60km Semi Fondo and the 48km Medio Fondo!
Plus you can also use it to save $20 off the price of the Hartley’s to Port MTB Race!

To secure your Locals Discount simply enter LOCALS (use all capital letters) in the Promo Code box during your registration process. Your $20 discount will then be taken off your total.
*Terms & Conditions
- Locals are anyone who lives within a 200km radius of Port Douglas.
- The Locals Discount is valid from 1 May 2024 until 12:00pm Saturday 7 September 2024.
- Anyone who claims the Locals Discount but doesn’t live within the 200km radius of Port Douglas will be charged the additional $20 prior to picking up their registration pack.
